The Folger has many manuscript and archival collections and is working to create online Finding Aids for all of them. At the moment, Hamnet records are available for most of the collections, and finding aids are available for the most popular. Our interns are just beginning the process of linking Luna images directly to the finding aids and new finding aids are added as they are completed.
Unfortunately, our "database" is more like a list. The search function is not quite functional, so your best bet is to do a control-F (command-F on a Mac) and search for the text/call number on the page. Be sure to click on the arrow next to "List of Finding Aids" before you search.
Some basic descriptive information appears in Hamnet for these collections, but the Finding Aids will provide more detail as well as a list of the individual items in the collection, often with information on the contents of each piece. The level of detail depends on the popularity and research value of the collection, as well as the expertise of the creator of the Finding Aid.
